The Town of Sylvan Lake invites Prequalification Submissions from interested General
Contractors for the construction of upgrades for the South Reservoir Pumping
Decommissioning & Modifications CP2308 project. This project includes modifications
to the existing South Reservoir pumping facility that allow for decommissioning of the
pumping system and modifications to the Beacon Hill Booster Station so that all pumping
for the upper and middle pressure zones in the Town is through the Beacon Hill Booster
Station. This project includes deep utility work, site grading work, and work within the
South Reservoir storage cells as well. This is a multi-year project that will require careful
planning and execution of the proposed constructability plan which will allow for the
upgrades to be done in such a way as to always maintain operation of the South
Reservoir and Beacon Hill Booster Station facilities.

It is the intention of the Town to prequalify General Contractors with water retaining
underground reinforced concrete experience and experience with construction, start-up,
and commissioning of potable water pump stations.

The Prequalification is the first of a two-stage procurement process. This stage involves
selecting the Respondents that meet the requirements of the Prequalification, who will be
invited to submit Bids for the Invitational Bid to be issued at a later date by the Town.
